Camp's commemorative poster of The Boathouse. Available for purchase at the Camp Store. Designed by Deer Run alumna, Dara Mongelli Dunn.
In 1944, Dr. Lawrence Andreson answered God’s call by founding Camp Brookwoods for boys on Lake Winnipesaukee. “Doc A.” owned Camp Brookwoods and Deer Run (est. 1964) through 1972, at which time the camps were sold. Through a series of miraculous events, the camps were purchased by George Bennett, Sr. and the camps reopened in 1974 as a non-profit organization and have been going strong (and growing!) ever since.
July 26-28, 2019: We invite you and your family to relive camp antics, rekindle friendships, and reminisce during a special weekend of festivities. We will celebrate the rich legacy of the camps by looking back as we share stories and memories of the role camp played in our lives. We look forward to the ways God will continue to use camp in the lives of future generations of campers at Camp Brookwoods, Deer Run, and Moose River Outpost. (Happy 55th to Deer Run & Happy 20th to Moose River Outpost!)
We want to hear from you, whether or not you can join us in July. Please send us your camp story and photos so we can post them on our bulletin board at Brookwoods. Your photos may also be featured in our slideshow. Please send them to Melissa anytime.
